Sprint Repair Service is Awesome!!
I wanted to post this since there is so many negative posts I though I'd add a positive. This weekend my wife dropped her Evo on the tile floor and the glass on the screen shattered. Went to the Sprint store and 1 hour later the screen was replaced, no charge since we had TEP, and no hassles for the phone being rooted. Thanks Sprint for providing me such great customer service. I challenge anyone to get that kind of service from any of the other carriers. Great pricing and no hassles. I have a friend at work that has an iphone 4 and she has to keep it protected like its precious crystal since AT&T won't even offer insurance or repair coverage on iphone.
Thanks Sprint for being there for your customers. |

Yeah... Try that with TMobile Dr. 8820!!!
LOL... I love TEP. I have never had an issue with it. The only time I've had to pay a deductible was when I lost a phone... I chose to reactivate an old phone while I waited for my upgrade elegibility to kick in... And then.... New phone with upgrade. p. |

Good to hear this! The store I go to used to be really good for service, never had any issues and always felt like they went above and beyond. They changed something up recently because the last few times I've been in there I felt like they were treating me like I was some kind of idiot. Example, my son's battery was lasting about 4 hours with almost no use (samsung moment). I checked everything possible to make sure there was nothing draining it...email settings, gtalk, low signal, etc. Their explanation was that I had the service set to automatic instead of Sprint only and that 4 hours was about right for a smartphone.

Like anything else... The lowest common denominator is the moron behind the counter.
So you really have to shop for good service sometimes... I've been really lucky with the stores in my area. I've only had a couple of problems but nothing really bad. p. |
Re: Sprint Repair Service is Awesome!!
a dropped phone with shattered screen? that is a case when you SHOULD have used asurion! They tried to force me to use asurion when my charging port stopped working!

Re: Sprint Repair Service is Awesome!!
the new policy covers pretty much everything besides broken in half and water damage. though I have gone through 7 yes 7 refurbs in the last month due to the poor refurb quality (they were all soo bad the rep ordered another before I left the store all but one of those times)

+1!
I love TEP. Last week my earpiece blew, went to the Sprint repair center and they replaced the ear piece in about two hours for free. I was even rooted, but I did load up a stock rom. |
Re: Sprint Repair Service is Awesome!!
We don't make it a habit of checking root unless the problem could be caused by that root. A broken screen is a hardware issue, not a software issue. If we have the particular screen that your Evo takes (there are two different kinds), then we'll replace it. Very quick and simple repair which we get paid well for.
About the charging port deal. Evos have a known issue in which the charging port comes loose. In all other cases, it's probably considered DBR (damaged beyond repair) from customer abuse. In those cases, you'll be referred to Asurion. |

Also, when I called the Sprint repair center they told me the only had the thin cable screen in stock and if I needed the other screen they would just give me an exchange. This is good customer service. |
