it's good they're going to start doing that. my parents and other siblings use them. i can now tell them to dig out all of their old phones and see what they can get for them.

I have no phones I would want to trade in.
Sprint has a trade in program too... And even Radio Shack offered me 75 bucks for my old TP2. I kept it for the wifi and second battery for my EVO.
I'm sure they'll try many different tactics to prevent people from going to Verizon for their NEW iPhone though.

i think every carrier should offer it.... recycle, properly dispose of battery, refurb it, whatever.. but every carrier should do it...

best buy also has a buy back program..which also extends well beyond cell phones
