Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES

I'm not on the fence... That's for sure...
I'm not going to TMobile unless they buy Sprint.
But that's because "I" want to. For "MY" reasons.

I really couldn't care less about who has the biggest Richard.

The plan I have works for ME. The rate works for ME. The phone selection works for ME. The speed of the network works for ME.
I'm golden.

As you were...

But enough arguing... It's getting boring to read... Who's going to throw the first blow? I wanna see some blood.

You must have missed this:

I have been speaking about facts ever since I entered this thread.

Again, yes, I know that wimax has a theoretical max of 75 megs. That is not what Sprint has deployed. Sprint has a theoretical max of 10 megs.

Hspa+ has a theoretical max of 672 megs. That is not what T-Mobile has deployed right now. They have 21 meg, are in the process of upgrading to 42 meg, and said they will upgrade to 84 meg next year.

These are facts. And as my link proves, you were not "the one" listing prices, and I listed more than you anyway.

Yes every phone has gps but not all phones have free navigation software. Att, t mobile, and verizon all charge $10 a month for most all their knives phones. On android you can use google navigation and on all the old winmo phone you can use bing navigation for free, other than that they will charge you. Thats what everyone means when they say free gps.

Yes, there is a free navigation app for just about every smartphone released these days.

Fact #1: Sprint also claims to throttle speed of abusers, just like T-Mobile. That is actually where T-Mobile got the idea.
Fact #2: T-Mobile's HSPA+ is faster than Sprint's Wimax.
Fact #3: T-Mobile's HSPA+ has a larger coverage area than Sprint's Wimax.
Fact #4: While T-Mobile may not have any repair techs in stores, they will certainly swap your device for another one.

We get it- you are a Sprint fanboy. But don't go spouting BS and claiming it's true just to make Sprint look better than they really are. Sprint may very well have better service than T-Mobile in your area. But your post doesn't say anything about your area, it's flat out saying Sprint is better than T-Mobile for everyone.

Sprint has never said they throttle data. They have true unlimited data on all their phones and 5gig cap on aircards. Tmo was the first one to announce that they were going to throttle over 5gigs instead of charge you extra like att and verizon.

You might want to double check that. Sprint does reserve the right to throttle speed for abusers. You may not personally know anyone it has happened to, but that doesn't mean they will never do it to anyone. I don't personally know anyone that got their T-Mobile speed throttled either. Doesn't mean it will never happen.

Yes, you can find navigation software out there for free but not all will offer true turn by turn voice navigation. Can you give me some names of free software for wp7 or blackberry that offer that?

You said it, for "abusers". Sprint will throttle or cancel your services if you abuse their services. Tmobile tells you straight out they will throttle over 5gigs. On sprint going over 5gigs is not abusing. Downloading 30gigs of torrent files is abusing. The point is, sprint doesn't advertise as a selling point like tmobile does that they will throttle data over 5gigs instead of charge you extra.

Re: Sprint forcing premium data on ALL SMARTPHONES

The only advertisement I've seen from Sprint is "unlimited data" Even Dan Hesse has said it in a commercial.
To me unlimited means as much data as your connection and your device will allow you to use within a one month billing cycle.

I know bored has put up some very large numbers out there... Have you been throttled yet? Warned? terminated?

I'm not interested enough to try out the limits of "unlimited data" otherwise I would.
