answer my one question ive asked twice now and i will admit your all right and im wrong. if, as black dynamite keeps claiming, that i am in the fastest tmo area and just dont know it, and the hd7 gets around 10 megs, why dont any other phones in the tmo store by my house get the same or even close to the same speeds. it just doesnt make sense that the hd7 gets 10000k dl, and the other phones(the 4g ones yaknow?) get 2000k dl. answer me that.

then why dont all tmo htc phones get speeds like doc?

Sprint still cheaper than the theifs over at Verizon. Im I never dropped a call. Sprint is nice even with hardware. Ive gotten many free ppc upgrades. Thxs to HTC cheaply made phones. Now with epic, I can think of any problems to call and make trouble tickets. Im screwed. Gonna have to buy the next upgrade. :(

Why does my Evo get faster 3G speeds than my Touch Pro 2? Why did my 4G speed drop drastically after an update on my Evo a while ago?

On every phone, there are always ways to tweak that speed. Maybe HTC and/or MS left it open for some reason on the HD7 and slowed it down on the MyTouch.

man, the hd2 does support hspa. I have never seen anyone claim otherwise, and have no idea why you are attempting to deny this fact. It has an hspa radio (as pretty much all htc gsm phones have included ever since hspa was first being rolled out several years ago).

This is where you are just flat out wrong. The hd2 (and hd7) both have hspa radios.

Hspa+ is the upgrade path from hspa. It is backwards compatible. Any hspa device will see an increase in speed when in an hspa+ area. It might not (and probably won't) get the theoretical maximum hspa+ speeds, but it will certainly see a faster speed than if it was only in an hspa area.

This is not 2 completely different technologies that requires seperate radios like evdo and wimax. This is the official upgrade path for hspa and was made to be backwards compatible with hspa. And any gsm device that supports 3g made in the last several years will almost certainly have an hspa radio, as it has been the 3g standard for quite some time for gsm.

That is the main reason people were saying hspa+ isn't really 4g. Because hspa is 3g, and hspa+ is a backwards compatible upgrade to it and not something totally replacing it.

exactly!

Oh! You weren't given the memo I see. Updating the Evo breaks it. Sad indeed. Rip.

which phone is newer, the my touch 4g or the hd7? the op dragged a thread from xda that i was in and i claimed the hd7 was h+...BEFORE i got it! i looked at the specs and they're the same as the hd2...so i admitted i was wrong ( my logic being why would tmo or htc release a phone without the faster speed). all i did was post what i got speedwise, all that tech stuff please take up with tmo or htc. now that's out the way, how about that pic of the "EPIC 4G" speed test....

...don't get me wrong, all i asked was what was the extra $10 for? i got "sprint is cheaper"...i have sprint AND tmo, tmo doesn't charge for the 4g experience, sprint does. "sprint is faster"...no, it's not. "sprint has unlimited internet"...so does tmo. "sprint charges to use a smartphone"...tmo does not. next question lol!
