Yeah... ATT makes everything look fast on TV. Have you seen the iphone on TV and have you seen someone try to use it? My brothers in law only use their iphones for data where there's wifi.

I haven't seen any new android phones advertized. I did see something about another tablet and of course the netbook from Dell. But not much else. We'll have to see what happens after CES.

Whenever I've called sprint for any reason, or gone to a Sprint store, I've always asked about the upcoming WP7 devices... each rep has said that they don't know or that they haven't heard of any upcoming releases. I wait patiently for the next flagship WM/WP device (having tried the Epic and gone back to a TP2 lol)

Wow, I'm stumped on how you could have tried an Epic and gone back to a T P2? My TP2 has been sitting on the shelf since getting an Epic 3 months ago. It's like going back to using a commodore 64?
Sent from an Epic 3G on SERO.

A flashed overclocked TP2 with the start menu removed is world's apart from a stock or just flashed TP2.

I too bought an Epic and went back to a TP2.

Just out of curiosity, what made you turn back?

so far its still only the EVO Shift and HTC 7 Pro.... gotta wait for CES... if Sprint has ANYTHING to announce it will be there.... HTC also has a big announcement, but thats gonna be LTE handsets for VZW(assumed given the teaser site set up for it)

Every day function, if that makes any sense. There is no doubt that the Epic is a better device, but the few and streamlined functions/operations I perform very frequently on my TP2 simply took more time and work to do on the Epic. The lack of a call filter and trigger application (ala Magicall) is what cemented it for me... there were a few other small things like inferior Epic keyboard, 4G fee, and of course battery life, but those are definitely not deal breakers, especialy when you consider the fact that the Epic is superior in virtually every other aspect.

Right now I have a "daily" TP2 that I've been known to toss around freely without cares, a crushed TP2 my buddy gave me after putting it through some industrial machinery (it still works!), and a brand new in box one in case anarchy takes over and the TP2 supply is quickly bought out for its strengths in personal self-defense.

There are plenty of call filtering/triggering apps..probably over 100..here are a few:

Call Blocker Gold - Android app on AppBrain
Call Blocker X - Android app on AppBrain
Call Manager Pro - Android app on AppBrain
Call & SMS Filter - Android app on AppBrain
Call Filter Pro - Android app on AppBrain
Firewall; Call blocker, filter - Android app on AppBrain

Can't do much about the $10 fee or preference of kb, but battery life can be increased.. just by killing DRM some people got double the battery life..There are also apps such as SuperPower and custom undervolted kernels

But overall, if your happy with what you got then its all good...

Believe me when I tell you that I've tried those call filter apps (and then some), and none can come close to matching the power of Magicall, both on a Hero and XDAndroit port. At least not in the way I use it (I have about 12 custom rules set up that are invaluable to me). Now that I think about it, the developer of Magicall announced that he was finally starting work on an app for Android, so I'll follow up on that!

As far as the 4G fee, there is something that can be done about that but it's not the most legal approach ;)
