Sprint: Data/Tower issues, extremely slow.

The single Sprint tower that provides service for our area is having issues. We first noticed it with my wifes aircard, and thought it was a problem with her card until I talked to others having the same issue. Speed tests report a download speed of around 40kbps. That's what I used to get on my old 56K modem. I then tested my phone and my wifes phone with the same averages. I've seen is as low as 14kbps and as high as 75kbps. Everytime I tested this on the phones and the aircard, it was always reporting RevA with bars between 2 and 4.

The other screwy part is my uploads are still around 300kps.

I called Sprint and spent 3 hours on the phone, talked to 5 different people, and in the end, was told there was nothing wrong with their tower. The last person I talked to said they would still have a tech check the tower and the tech would call me in about 20 minutes, that was two weeks ago, no phone call and the data still stinks. It's been this way for about 5 weeks.

Voice calls are just fine. I also checked it when I was away from home, about 60 miles away, I got 520kbps

It's going to be years before we see 4G here, I'd at least like to have 3G.

So my question is... what do I say to Sprint to get them to actually come down and check our tower and fix it? What department would I ask to speak to? I'd really like some help on this matter.

Not sure if this matters here or not, but the tower is in Price UT.

I used to have this same thing happen every other year. Made me think the tower was down for service.

I have the exact same thing going on here in Texas City, TX. Exactly. I also get the exact same runaround with Sprint and advanced tech support. They state they can't find anything wrong with the tower nearest my home. My downloads are as low as .03kbps and no higher than 60 or 70kbps tops. My upload speeds are quite a bit higher but averages between 100 to 250kbps, sometimes uploads speeds are just as bad but usually its twice as fast as my download speeds. It's impossible for me to watch YouTube or any other streaming videos. It takes a couple minutes to load this website. I'm pissed because I have the HTC EVO and pay an extra $10 per month for this bs! T-Mobile is looking VERY good right about now!

The tower closest to me has been out for about a month. Everytime I call sprint I get the run around.
