What are you leaning toward doing when you get your letter? Taking the Tilt, or upgrading and being bound to a contract?

Basically it looks like you will not get the rollover option. I will wait and see. I did get an iphone 3g off ebay, jailbroke and unlocked it. If they give me a decent phone as an offer, I will use that and just use the 3G as an ipod, if not..then the iphone will be my primary phone. I already themed it to the HTC HD2 theme..toook some time to do.

They got Android running on a 2G, so tinker proof is not quite correct

Well, chose my phone today, it will be an HTC Aria. An android phone. They will be shipping out on or about the 16th of january. I will play with the Aria and see if it would be better than the iphone. Either way...1 will get sold.

Aria is a mid range phone..the high end Android phone is the Captivate.

These were my free choices if i wanted to keep my current rate plan:

HTC Aria
Pantech Link
BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300
Palm Pre Plus
Samsung Eternity II
Samsung Strive
Nokia 6350
Samsung a777
Samsung Rugby II

The Captivate is $199 plus a new contract. A new contract with what I get now, would be about $45 more a month than i am currently paying.

Where can I get info on the Android slider coming out? I am in the same boat - Alltel going to AT&T, have a TP now. It's either going to the TP2/Tilt or an Android phone (only Captivate now). I really LOVE the slide out keyboard and would prefer the fast android with a slider....
