Need to save some money with Sprint
I currently have the Sprint Everything Data Share 1500. I have 4 phones and a 23% discount with Ins on 2 lines. My bill runs me about $183. Anyone know of a way to save any money because this bill is getting nuts!
Thanks |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Are you using all of the minutes? That's the first thing I look at with my customers to try and save them money.

Share 1500 with 4 lines should be $129.99-23% 100.10 +2 lines($40)+14 insurance = $154.10 Do you Pay $30 in taxes?? Or do you have a couple 4G phones with the $10 "enhanced" data fee? |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
I have 1 phone (EVO) with the 4G charge.
|
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
129.99(everything family 1500)+39.98(2 extra lines)+10.00(EVO data)+14.00(Ins 2 lines)+(9.99 cancelled some text messaging BS)+8.40(Sprint surcharges)+10.51(Taxes)-29.99=182.97

Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
You could save some cash going with a sprint EPRP:
goto Sprint | Everything Plus(SM) Referral Program use email: russ.s.mcguire@sprint.com Id number: 383 I found the following plan for you: Sprint 2 line Family share Everything plan with 1600 minutes: 109.99 extra 2 lines: 29.98 (14.99 each) Evo coolness tax: $10.00 Insurance on 2 lines: $14 ($7 each) total of: $158.97 You can also get discounts on these plans as well. Are you currently getting any discounts? |
Something worth mentioning. All discounts require you to renew your contract

Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
I dont think so. I got a 20% discount on my plan, and never had to renew my contract.
|
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
I get a 23% discount because because of my employer.
BooDaddy I will check that out. I thought I had read on the EPRP plan you couldn't use employer discounts. If that is not true then this would really save me some money! Thanks! |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Cool. You could apply the same discount to EPRP. It would only apply to the plan price, so the plan would be around $84.69.
That would make your total cost (not counting taxes and fees) around the neighborhood of $133.67. So you could possibly save about 50-60 bucks a month. |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Nice and it won't effect my phone upgrades? I can get a full upgrade in December on my phone and I am really thinking the EVO might be it. My wife has one and loves it.
Hmm going thru the site now... How do I get past the phone selection since I don't need a phone? |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
It shouldnt affect any upgrades. You could always call Telesales for EPRP and doublecheck with them. Le
|
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
I am not really finding a way to get this. I am a current customer and everything says a current customer cannot switch to this :(
|
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Have you talked to Telesales? Maybe they will switch you over to it. I dunno how it would be for someone thats a current customer.

Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Just ask yourself if you really need 4 lines. If its for some kids, just take it away from those little buggers or have them get a job and start contributing.

Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Depending on how your moral standing is..you can always have insurance on 1 line and if anything happens to the phone swap it..take it to sprint store...but thats up to your moral.
Also if you don't have 4g in your area, "some" people were able to convince sprint to give them a re-occurring refund on the coolness fee... |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Yeah the insurance on the other phone may not be worth it since it was free.
I wonder if I went the EPRP route and added a line then started cancelling my other lines how long it would take me to make my money back? I have been with Sprint for at least 10 years... |

Hmm, Everything I've read says you CAN NOT add employee discounts to the newer EPRP plans, which is why most people are on the 450 everything plan with their discounts. I guess anything's possible, I have a 22% off My SERO 500 plan, but I wouldn't go changing your plans all around unless you make sure you can get a discount on the plan |
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
What/where is the 450 plan?
|
Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
I just looked at my bill and realized they only discount the main plan they don't discount the extra 2 lines I have. So that means with the 7 ins canceled and the bogus 9.99 text fee my bill is roughly down to 165.98. Not great but ok I guess.
My lines expire 8/23/11 5/27/12 2/15/11 8/24/11 |

Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
I just read the thread about Sprint discontinuing discounts on the additional lines. I need to do some fast research and see if I can get a better deal elsewhere and cancel Sprint without the ETF!

Re: Need to save some money with Sprint
Well what if I can cancel my current plan without ETF then rejoin sprint under EPRP? From an example above looked like it would save some money.

Cancel your Sprint contract without paying an ETF! | Explain the Fee! |
If it wasn't said already, you can only apply the discount within 2 months of you signing.
