Sprint and caller ID help.
 

Okay I am new to Sprint and when I call someone my name doesnt come up on caller id. I know that it should because my friends who have Sprint their names come up when they call.

I have never had Sprint before and didnt ask for any kind of block and I even logged into my account and set names with each of the numbers on my family plan.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please?

Not sure if this helps or has nothing to do with it but on my BlackBerry under phone options I have the choice to restrict my identity or not. Maybe your phone has the same type of setting? I think Sprint restricts as default.

I ended up calling Sprint and they had to set it up for each of my lines..So now it just shows Matt when I call :)

did they ask you what name you wanted to use or are they just gonna go by the name on the account? because i'd like to use something else instead of my name.

They did ask me what name to put on each line. I told them to just put Matt for my line and when I call my home phone it just comes up as Matt..

Dunno if they will let you use custom names etc..Let me know if they do..

cool...thanks for the info. really dont care too much about it because the only landline i almost always call is just my parents...would be cool if i can confuse them...LOL. i'll try it over the weekend and will post if successful or not.
