[Sprint] No Saturday Shipping?

I think I read on a couple of threads that Sprint doesn't do any shipping on Saturdays. The phone is set to be released on June 4th which is a Friday. Does that mean once it's shipped on June 4th (Friday), we won't get it until that following Monday (June 7th)?

The reason I ask is b/c I'm paying for overnight shipping, and hoping to use it over the weekend. lol But it seems I won't have it until that following Monday. If so, I'll switch back to 3day shipping. lol

Thanks!

your actually paying for overnight shipping? usually if you call cs enough you can get them to make it free.

And yes they won't do deliveries on Saturday due to contracting between ups and sprint. and if you pick 3 day shipping it will arrive on Wednesday unless you live close to the warehouse

I think thats less of a sprint thing and more of a ups thing. UPS will only deliver to a businesses on the weekends, residential deliveries are made monday through friday. If they use fedex it might different since I have gotten many fedes packages on saturday at my house.

UPS does have an "option" for Saturday shipping..but Sprint can't help you get it I guarantee...from what sprint and UPS both say its a contract thing..I even had a manager from sprint dial UPS and had a 3way call..it can't be done for contract reasons.

Sprint probably doesn't ship out stuff of Saturdays but that doesn't stop the mail carriers once they get it. But once it is in the hands of the mail carrier ( who ever that is ) they will still have it on your door step on Saturday (if mailed on friday)

no they won't...for your information even if the carrier has the package in the branch office on Saturday. The branch office is empty and it gives out the packages to the drivers automated. I tried this a million times..they won't do it even if their fault you didn't get package on a friday..they won't do saturday..I went as high up as VP..they just won't do it if its not marked for saturday delivery even if you opt to pay them more.

With shipment companies, you really cannot negotiate anything. If original shipper did not pay for Sat Delivery, you are not getting it. You cannot pay for it yourself. I do not think that original shipper can change that either.

If they tried to deliver on Friday and couldn't, you can call them and ask them to hold it at their warehouse for pickup and you can pick it up same day.

Oh ok, I guess I stand corrected, I guess it would make sense for the shipper to have that option. Its just that I have had several heated arguments with ups over the years because of undelivered packages that was suppose be at my house on friday and they couldn't do anything for me until monday being that my address is a residential one, I have never had this issue with fedex.

Shipping is not specific to the Evo and this thread should be in the carrier forum. Thanks for understanding guys!
