Sprint TP2 MR1 Release Bricked My TP2!
 

Holy shnikies! I just got my replacement TP2 today and it had the old ROM on it. I just tried to pop the Sprint MR1 release to it AND IT BRICKED IT!

All I get now is the bootloader with a bunch of jumbled characters...but I can make out "code error" and "try again". Nothing works. Can't flash anything to it...can't get it out of bootloader...can't even hard reset.

Sprint FAIL! Boooooooooooooooooooooo

I just tried to run the HSPL thinking that maybe it would replace the bunk bootloader...NO! It just hangs at 0%.

Looks like I just solved the problem. I think my MR1 copy was FUBAR'd and it bunked my bootloader. I redownloaded and tried again. It took a while around 11%, where the bootloader stuff happens, but proceeded to completion. It's still booting now, but all looks good.

I was pretty pissed off there for a minute.

I learned that the hard way when the mogul was out. Just redownload it. It's crazy like that sometimes.

Either way, sure they would have replaced it for you again. First problem I've seen with the MR. At least it didn't get bricked. Were real quick to rush here and bash sprint.

after having both sprint for business & verizon for personal.. Screw Sprint.. nasty rude customer service every time i needed to call them. And DONT pay in advance when your on sprint. when your contract is up and you want to ditch their service. I had to get just as nasty rude with that woman on the phone as she was to me to get my money back.. Bash sprint?/ Heck Yes!
