I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
For a few years I've been suffering in my area with only 1x, couldn't wait till I got faster speeds... I even thought about switching to Alltel (now Verizon) because they had EVDO in my area
I didn't, I stuck it with Sprint and toughed it out Just a few minutes ago I went to the Verzion site just to check out to see what I'd be paying had I switched... right now this is what I have for Sprint Everything Data Family with Any Mobile Anytime 1500 This plan includes * Any Mobile, Anytime: Unlimited domestic calls from the Sprint network to and from ANY U.S. mobile phone regardless of carrier. Any network, any time. * Unlimited data: Web surfing, email, BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS), GPS Navigation, Sprint TV and Radio, NASCAR Sprint Cup MobileSM * Unlimited messaging: Text, pictures and video * Talk: Night calling and weekends starting at 7 p.m., nationwide long distance and no roaming charges I have two lines, usually it's $19.99 for a second line per line per month, since I'm a long time Sprint customer they give it to me for free... I also get other discounts and my bill usually comes in at about $111.00 per month (nonSERO) this total includes Total Equipment Replacement insurance for both lines... My job gives me a $97.00 a month stipend for cell phone so I only pay $14.00 out-of-pocket. I need to get business email on my phone too... I have a Samsung Moment and my daughter (who shares this account with me) had a HTC Hero So I go to Verizon and try to find a similar plan only for individual and not family, the total before taxes is $170.94... holy cow!! They even charge you 2 bucks a month for a detailed bill... whoa! Verizon plan I picked Nationwide Talk & Text 900, Total Equipment Coverage, Unlimited Corporate Email & Web for BlackBerry, Visual Voice Mail, V CAST Music and Videos On Demand, VZ Navigatorsm I'm sure glad I stuck it out with Sprint  |
Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
yeah, i kept sprint even after getting the hd2, tmo plans don't include tv or navi. plus with sprint tv, you also get sprint radio :).

Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
So am I. People always rag on Sprint customers, but I have absolutely NO issues with them, and I'm not paying an arm and a leg like I would with other carriers.

Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
you do know the 2nd line on a family plan is ALWAYS free with sprint right? thats not a hookup

It's okay thought because I get $47.50 off my monthly bill anyway Thanks for letting me know |
Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
this is correct...family plan prices include 2 lines with additional lines 3-5 costing either 9.99 or 19.99 a month depending on the plan. i am so glad you are a happy customer! if you ever need anything holler! :)

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/17992; U; en))
i totally agree,I recently shopped around and found Sprint's prices cannot be beat. plus i have been very pleased with their service and customer service (for the last couple of years at least). |
Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
ahh! its nice to see a "im happy with sprint" thread. count me in as well. 97 dollars a month non sero for more services than i can ever use on 2 lines.

Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
I've been a Sprint customer since the Samsung A900. They have given me so many perks on my SERO plan that I would find it hard to ever leave them.
$40 after taxes for 500 mins, unlimited text and data, insurance, free incoming first minute, free calling to 5 people, and nights at 7:00PM is hard to beat. Couple the free calling to 5 people with a Google Voice number and GVDialer app basically makes it unlimited calling. |
Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
for me I got the Simply Everything plan... after everything is said and done, for my single phone I pay $120 a month, now that is a lot, but it replaces my land-line, provides me with Internet most of the time, is used as a TV as well (dont have cable)... so If I where to add those utilitys up... im pretty sure im saving ass loads of money... just saying...

So I can pretty much do anything I want on my phone and when my bill comes on the 16th (my billing cycle) I know it will be $120 and not a penny more (though they have tried when i got my Airave for BAD coverage, still 0 bars 3 years living at the same place and still Sprint Map says I should have full coverage...)! Cheers |
Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
Similar story.. I am with Alltel divested so we still have the low prices and won't be going to big red. Big Red is insanely expensive, even compared to Alltel.
Sprint's pricing puts big Red's completely to shame. I would be on Sprint as well if coverage was in my home town. I wonder if Big Red has to charge so much on it's wireless to offset what it's losing on it's terrestrial network. |
Re: I'm Glad I'm Stuck It Out With Sprint
I was on sprint for 6 years before I switched to t-mobile. if you're on cdma I don't know why you would go with vzw over sprint. Sprint wins hands down in so many categories for me, and if/when the nexus one and the evo come out and some winpho7 phones it will be super awesome, I may even switch back unless I can get a similar 4.3" android on gsm
