Leave Verizon no ETF?
 

So I'm trying to think of ways to get out of Verizon because I'm just pissed off they won't let me activate my Diamond without paying more.

Basically when they absorbed Alltel in my area I had a National Freedom 900 plan with a Connect 3 (unlimited SMS/MMS/data) pack with which I could use my Diamond on. The phone was bought out of contract (my contract had expired and I did an insurance claim through Asurion to get out of my 6800). Well I switched temporarily to a cheap dumbphone and now that I want to get back they want me to buy a mandatory $39.99/mo. smartphone pack even though my plan supports data.

Alltel was a great company and now that Verizon took them over the customer service has been crappy and they are trying to rape me pricewise. (big ugh) I want Sprint but for now I'm stuck because I have two lines under contract (one until March and one until June).

Any brilliant ideas?

Keep your ears open. My manager mentioned something about it the other day. Verizon will be doing it soon is what he said.....not sure what he meant though.
