Sprint Premier Tiered Program

I know there's discussion about this elsewhere, about being a premier customer level 1, 2, 3, etc.

BUT....

How bout this

Since it's 99.99 a month for family plans to be premier, maybe there can be steps, like once you're spending 150 a month, you can get two lines annual upgrades, 200 a month is three lines, 250 a month is four lines etc etc.

I don't know if that pricing structure is fair, I'm just basing it off the 69.99 for individuals (x2 = 140 = 2 premier customers) (x3 = 210 = 3 premier customers) (x4 = 240 = 4 premier customers).

What do yall think?

How many ways can I complain about this. I've had an upgrade every year for the past 5 years(I kept my first phone for 3 years, and this year I won't get one because of the new tiered program. This is just a little more fuel on the fire for me with Sprint right now. I know that if I make any changes to my account they will slap me with the $10 fee for the Moment and Intercept I have on it. Already paying it on my Epic. Soon T-mo might start looking better to me.

you can make any changes you want man, you cant upgrade the moment or intercept or youll have to pay... but you can make plan changes and such all day long.... this only goes into effect on devices Activated after the 31st..

Re: Sprint Premier Tiered Program

does that mean that if i don't upgrade by April i will have to say goodbye to my annual upgrade on both of my lines? because both lines i have are upgradable now...but wasn't planning on making any moves until fall of this year. it's just so freakin' funny that sprint rolls out the new $10 fee for all new activations of smartphones and then hot on it's trail is the premiere status membership changes as well.

oh well. i guess i can just do what i've done in the past. hold on to the current devices i have now until they break and get replaced. after all, activating a replacement phone from sprint will not be considered a new activation.

that's correct. they can't take away your upgrade now if you are quailfied, but if you don't meet the new requirements, you're screwed.

Details:

The Premium Data Add-on charge applies to:
  • All smartphones operating on the CDMA, iDEN and 4G networks.
  • A smartphone is defined as a device that supports a robust operating system including: Android, BlackBerry, Instinct, Palm and Windows Mobile.
The Premium Data Add-on charge does NOT apply to:
  • S&R exchanges (warranty or insurance events)
  • 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee devices exchanges for handsets activated 1x1x11 to 1x29x11
  • Existing smartphone customers will remain on their current rate plan, until they upgrade, perform an ESN swap or activate a new smartphone
  • Existing Seasonal Standby customers prior to 1x30x11
I thought it did but after this, I think everyone is safe if your just getting a replacement device via Insurance, TEP, etc...

that sucks because i don't meet the new requirements. but i guess i can't hate it that much. because with my estimated time on upgrading, it wouldn't matter anymore because that would be around my 22 months anyway :banghead:
