You're probably better off posting in the BlackBerry forum. You've posted in the forum for making requests to have devices added to the site

After getting the unlocking code, you get the free unlocking instructions from http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/.It provides the unlocking procedure for your mobile.

I don't believe unlocking the Pearl will be necessary. Generally, you only need to unlock a BlackBerry if it has a GSM radio for use on other networks. You will need to get it activated on the Alltel network and then provision it accordingly.

Good luck with that, though! Now that Alltel is part of Verizon, I am doubting they will add a Sprint phone to a line.

Unlocking cell phones is not a big deal. All SIM unlock codes are tied to the particular device IMEI and are carrier specific. The request for that code would need to be made from the carrier that the phone was originally manufactured for.
Remember the phone has limited number of attempts to enter the unlock code and so don't lose your chances by using fake codes. The cell phone will hard lock if there are no attempts left in the cell phone.

If your operator won’t help you unlock your phone, don’t panic. Search in google you will find a lot of websites. Here are some
