StormStat -

There is a an app that runs on the Storm 1 & Storm 2 called StormStat.

This app shows battery, memory, radio and WiFi information. A simple app I wrote to learn how to do BB programing and it has been running around on the Internet since January 2009 (and downloaded ~ 50K times).

Please feel free to download it and try it if you like - it's free.

Also, don't be afraid to try it on other BBs - It seems to run fine on 9650 (new Bold) and 9630 (Tour).

If you try it on other models and it works (or doesn't) please post a follow up status.

You can find StormStat here

Thanks and enjoy

I wasn't paying too much attention and the link in the original post was munged up fairly badly. It has been fixed on the original posts and works. Sorry..

Re: StormStat -

The memory info comes right from the RIM supplied APIs. I wouldn't think that the SD card wouldn't be much different but the app memory could be since it is dynamic and every start/stop of applications affects its use. I'm not sure if the calculations that the BB reports is in real MB or GB (bytes total/1024000 or /1024000000 i.e. power of 2 what most computer memory is calc'd in) or pure MB or GB (bytes total /1000000 or /100000000 i.e. powers of 10). I would have to check. Haven't looked at that part of the code for over a year. Will report back when I get a chance

I have renamed StormStat to BBStat since it runs on various platforms.

BBStat is for V7.X BBOS only. You can find BBStat here.

Please feel free to dowload StormStat for V5 & V6 devices

Like StormStat - BBStat is free.
