BB Exchange Email without BES
 

Has anyone found a way to use the exchange email (activesync) service on a BB without using the Exchange Server that costs more each month?

I read about some program called notify sync. Still searching but wanted to know if you all have any advice?

Answering my own question, yes it's possible!

Here's how to do it:

Go to setup wizard
Create new email account>select other type
Type in email address & password>select exchange
Fill in information:

• Outlook Web Access URL: The web address for accessing your corporate email
  for example, http://exchange.company.com
• Email Address: Your email address
  for example, patrickmoser@companyname.com
• Email account Name: The portion of the email address before the "@" symbol. Often the same as your user name
  for example, patrickmoser in the address patrickmoser@companyname.com
• User Name: The user name for your account on the Microsoft® Exchange server
  for example, patrickmoser
• Password: The Outlook or network login password
