Back-leveling WM6 phone?

So my wife was talking to what seemed to be an actual knowledgeable tech at Telus tonight, trying to get her web photo albums set up, and mentioned the problem she had was that these new HTC phones don't do MMS, and that I'd managed to get an MMS package installed on mine, but didn't yet have it working, and that I'd found out that WM5 included MMS but that it was removed from WM6...

The tech then informed her that her phone could simply be flashed back to WM5 and she should have MMS capability again(!!). Of course, he gave no info on just where to obtain the necessary version of WM5...

Has anyone here tried this??
