Anybody use Open Office ?

I'm trying to put an order form I created in MS works on my Q. I downloaded office 6 but can't save as .xls on my pc. I was told that open office will save as .xls. Anyone done this?

ive tried open office and you can Save As excel 97/2000/xp .xls format
