FRX07, no sounds available

Hello All

I have a big problem. I installed FRX07 on my HTC Touch Pro 2.

There is no audio available. If I set the Windows Mobile-System to the factory settings and boot new (haret) then the sound works fine.

After a while there is no sound more.

Please help me.

THANK YOU and kind regards
from SWITZERLAND

Patrik

What kernel, rootfs are you running?

Have you updated?

http://xdandroid.com/wiki/Incremental_Updates

Which RHOD?

Are you running anything experimental, or straight from the FRX07.1 thread?

Edit - how long is "a while"?

Hi

Thanks for the reply. I am really a newbie.

I use:

Kernel 2.6.27.46-01348-g9de837f
GlemSom@autobuild-

RHOD100

Until now I didn't installed some updates.

A while is only some days, maximum a week.

Best regards, Patrik

If a reboot fixes it, then reboot. Can't say I've ever had it happen, but a lot of odd things happen after extended uptimes.

A reboot dont helps, only a complete factory reset.

Probably a RHOD100 specific issue, I've never heard of this myself before.

Unfortunately that phone is by far the least supported/known... Not a single dev has one!! Nor has any RHOD100 user offered up one for a donor... we've had 10+ RHOD400 donors, a few RHOD300 donors... But not a single RHOD100 has been donated. C'est la vie.

I have this exact same problem too.

Also I've noticed, my headphone jack does not work in windows.

But when I do the master reset my headphone jack works in windows for a while as does regular sound in XDANDROID. Then at the same time sound stops working in android my headphone jack quits in windows.

Then gotta master reset again.

Hrm. That's interesting, because doing a master/hard reset would indicate a software problem - but usually what the issue with the headphone jack is hardware related. Have you tried blowing gently to see if there's anything stuck in there? I wonder if the hard reset fixing it was just a fluke...

Either way, you've gotta fix that issue with your headphone jack - that's definitely the issue!

This is interesting, a master reset does not fix my headset detection issue in windows.

A TOTAL REFLASH OF WINDOWS MOBILE 6.5 DOES!!!

So what files does a re-flash replace that a master reset does not?

I now have audio in Android, for now at least. Dunno how often I'm going to have to re flash. The problem is on the windows side. Need to find it.

Well, for example... if you flash a stock ROM, it will reflash your radio, bootloader, everything. If you flash most aftermarket ROM's, it will only reflash WinMo. I would think a hard reset would be similar to a flash of most aftermarket ROM's.
