is nand working for a sprint TP2 yet?
I was following NUMEROUS guides last night trying to get it to work. I seemed to get 1 completely up but then when I'd put the SIM card back in it would just constantly reboot and wifi simply didn't work (tiad's).
The other ones I was playing with would get stuck in a fastboot loop no matter what I would try. I was drinking last night since today's my birthday so I wasn't on top of my normal game... Does it work good if I were to put in a better effort or would the work just be a waste of time? I'm wanting something nice and easy that even my wife and sister can use on their phones. |
Re: is nand working for a sprint TP2 yet?
It works, but it's not ready for mass consumption. Certainly not good enough to just hand your wife/sister and expect it to just work.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/android-tp...-500-only.html Anything that says TESTING or DEV is functional on some level, but requires some work and there will be bugs. |
Re: is nand working for a sprint TP2 yet?
I have my wife dual booting right now. I did a full and proper format of the SD card before putting things on this last time and it seems to be holding up quite a bit better.
Are the only people still clinging to these phones us old SERO users? They used to offer some phones for only $10 more a month but at some point every android phone became an extra $20/mnth. That ESN changing stuff sure does look tempting at this point. I've been waiting a very long time for sprint to open things up a bit with phones but I'm about ready to give up. We'd be fine with a cell that was nothing but 911, unlimited txt and unlimited net but nobody seems to want to actually offer that. |
Lots of TP2 users on Boost run the Android ports. Edit- deleted

Re: is nand working for a sprint TP2 yet?
Yeah I've snagged multiple step by step guides before they disappeared from the various forums I lurk daily.
I think I've been reading about it long enough to go ahead and get an android phone and give it a shot. Several people in my family are glued to their $30/mnth sero with TP2 and everybody is eligible for contract renewal so the $100 epic or that free samsung phone are really tempting to grab several and play with 1 and if I can't get it worst case I just sell off the phones and pay for a few months of SERO service with the gains. |
Re: is nand working for a sprint TP2 yet?
Let's take the illegal discussion to PM. Thanks guys.

Re: is nand working for a sprint TP2 yet?
i think its hard for people since they have no idea wtf fastboot is or anything related to how android roms are deployed. So a little education about that is needed before going nand.
