Android Backup and Restore ??
is "EVERYTHING" dealing with android on the TP2 (FRX07) in the FRX07 folder (I set it that way in a single subfolder)
ie can I "backup" that entire folder to a zip file and "restore" it anytime simply by restoring that backup file? is it that simple? can I use that backup zip file on ANOTHER Tp2? say if i want to switch my sprint tp2 over to android is it as simple as moving the root and frx07 files over to the other phones memory card and "go" ? also how do I extract if possible all the APK's for programs I installed? so if I want to start from scratch for whatever reason I don't have to go through the tedious browse for and redownload stuff ??? are those APK's located somewhere where I can get to them? |
Re: Android Backup and Restore ??
If you really want to pull apk's manually, they should all be in /data/app.
You should also be able to pull the entire FRX07 folder and drop it on another RHOD - just be warned all your personal data goes with your data.img. I prefer Titanium Backup if I'm backing up applications within Android. This backs up the app and the associated data within said app. Works quite well... I use it so often I actually decided to pony up and buy the app... |
Re: Android Backup and Restore ??
they are both my phones so thats ok and the point.
I will look into titanium. being able to backup all those settings WOULD be nice so if I have to restore a zipped backup I can then restore my saved settings. |
