Android loads fine but.....
I need to have a SIM card in my phone to work because I am abroad, not on a CDMA in the states. Itll work if I take out the SIM and boot up, but Im not gonna pay outragous Sprint bill when I can use the local country carrier's SIM.
Any ideas on how to work out this problem? Thanks in advance. I can load both GB and FroYo just fine, everything works except when I try and install my SIM. |
Re: Android loads fine but.....
Do you normally use Sprint? If so, you probably need to change your startup file from "force_cdma=1" to "force_cdma=0". I'd start there.

The new RIL from hyc has world phone support. With some frameworks changes, you can actually flip between CDMA and GSM while in Android. |

Yes, with hyc's new RIL and some frameworks changes, you can flip between CDMA and GSM. SIM unlock is again another conversation. My statement assumes you already have functional service with both GSM and CDMA. |
