Non-Working Apps
 

Since the current builds work so well, I thought it'd be good to have a thread to discuss applications that are giving some trouble, for two reasons: so that people don't waste time installing apps that just aren't working well, for whatever reason; and so that posters can share insights into how to get various apps working better.

Here's my very short list so far, using the straight FRX06 build:

* HBO Go v. 1.0.2: downloaded the APK here:
HBO (Home Box Office) GO® v1.0.2 Android Apk (1.0.2) Download

Opens a launch screen, and sometimes that launch screen, leaves and returns, but ultimately the app either quits on its own, or generates a reboot.

* Angry Birds, downloaded from the market: Somewhat playable with backgrounds & sounds turned off, but still pretty jumpy.

As I've made it well-known, I loathe Angry Birds... But I've heard the 'Lite' version runs much better... same with the 'Rio' version. I've heard it runs better...

I've honestly played the game for all of 2 mins. Still don't 'get it' :p.

As for apps that people have issues with, I've heard WhatsApp gives people issues - I'm not cool enough to know anyone that uses it, but it seems like a pretty slick app (assuming it works).

Netflix is another one that doesn't seem to work well for peeps.

I want to say there's already a thread on this topic, but perhaps it's just apps people use not apps people have issues with. Good idea for a thread tho ;).

Pandora with the BT patches has issues as well.
