I hadn't talked about it yet because I don't know anyone who has both CDMA and GSM subscriptions active who can test it, and I wanted CDMA stabilized first.

I can certainly borrow a SIM from someone with an active GSM connection for testing - but I realize that's not a priority. Getting it stable obviously is - but great news that it's on the radar!

i can test for your gsm nand rom, but when i flashed android and then i inserted sim card, rhod crashes on costant loop. if you know how to fix this problem, i can test now too!

Uhm... you don't seem to be following the converstaion... we're talking about CDMA phones being used as GSM devices - which currently only works if you reboot. We're talking about being able to service both at the same time - just switching service within the OS, as you can in WinMo.

Not stupid, just not a native English speaker making it a little more difficult to follow ;)

There are two methods we can use to fix this, but it all hinges on ACL finding a way to get around the reboots when a SIM card is in the slot on boot. Once that is done, the fixes will be done in this order (if the latter can be done at all).

First, recovery will have an option to force the use of a SIM card, and I'm sure this will be a very simple solution. Then, if we can find a way to detect and enumerate the SIM card, we can have Android natively control it so that you select it in the same way Windows Mobile lets you. This will require a bit of tweaking in userland, but I'm sure stinebd will that ironed out when the time comes :)
