wifi what am i doing wrong?

hey guys

ive been on android for a while now as it is getting extremely useable thanks to all the devs.

however, id like to use wifi when im on campus, because it uses less battery than using 3g the whole time.

ive entered all the network credentials correctly, but the wifi status goes to scanning -> connecting -> disconnected in a cycle.

any idea as to what i need to do to get it working? im on BLAZN 2.2.2, but i plan on going back to FROYO X red soon.

thanks again!

Does your campus use WEP for security...? There is an issue with WEP, and a workaround... Might want to use search before you hit that 'new thread' button.

Wifi works great, but I only use official XDAndroid builds and WPA2 for security.

thanks, i saw that thread. didnt seem to fix it. im using WPA2.

also, my facebook checkins dont work anymore :(

i think it has something to do with the GEN Y dual boot im using. i had to update satellites in windows mobile before to get it to work in android, but in the stripped version of windows, it doesnt seem like i can update satellites.

thanked for your reply.
