FN+Backspace on RHOD400

When I press FN+Backspace it should be Delete (just delete the char to the right of the cursor), but instead it deletes the entire line. Is that standard Android behavior, or is something mapped wrong? I've deleted a lot of typing on numerous occasions because of that.

I've noticed this too, never thought much of it. Seems like a bug for sure... I wonder if the 400 is the only device that experiences it...? I'll poke around.

I use it all the time. Seems like more of a feature to me than a bug. Ever get those really long texts all written out to the girlfriend only to realize you don't wanna fight tonight? Quick and painless deletion.... and I hate fighting. It should show that you've enabled function on the flashing cursor.

:laughing3: That's funny... never really thought it that way. I have to argue for the other case though; I had composed a long email and was not in position to use backspace to correct some typos so I decided to use (FN+Backspace) to delete 4 chars in front of the cursor; it ended up wiping 4 lines before the cursor. Doh!!!! :angry1:

Sometimes I really like it, but I have deleted many a line on accident.

I have the same thing. Bug or not, it has annoyed me in the past. I've accidentally deleted entire messages because the function key was on. It would be nice to have forward delete functionally or maybe delete by word.

Just hit the back button or menu-discard....

I use the Rhod500 (Verizon), and it does the same thing (backspaces one line). Didn't think of it as a bug, since it never acted as a Del key in Windows Mobile (Though, the TP1 did).

Unless I'm sorely mistaken, I'm pretty sure it does work as a Del key correctly in WinMo...

Confirmed, works as a del key as expected in WinMo. Haven't been in that OS in a while :p.

You must be using a non-Verizon TP2. I believe Sprint TP2 (Rhod400) has a Del feature in WinMo, but Verizon TP2 (Rhod500) does not - not even with KeyMapper.
