Wakeup/Vibrate on Text
After installing Tiad's new froyo x build i'm starting to see android as a more usable option lately and was testing it out and realized that there is no way to know if I received a text without checking my phone. Is there any way to have the screen turn on (similar to windows mobile) or at least make the phone vibrate when a text is received even if it is not on silent/vibrate mode?

Re: Wakeup/Vibrate on Text
You can set it to vibe always, it's in the options. Doesn't always work flawlessly, but very little with Android works 'flawlessly' at this stage :p

Also go into the messaging app and go to options, scroll all the way down and there is an option to set it to vibrate on a text.

Re: Wakeup/Vibrate on Text
You could download Handcent SMS..very popular alternative messaging app. Very customizable like conversation wallpapers and custom messaging icons in notification bar for different people if chosen. Plus, wakeup on new message setting :)
