requesting info on haret for WP7

Hey everybody, I've been thinking about this for a couple minutes and I understand that this is insanely complex and may never happen, but where do we stand?

please correct me if I'm wrong, and me find out more:
- ChevronWP7 only unlocks you to run homebrew silverlight code, not native code.
- The Chevron team has arranged to talk to Microsoft about homebrew in early January, i have no idea what will happen. But one way or another, official or unofficial, native code will we unlocked. The only difference is time.
- Obviously WP7 is not backwards comparable (because it only takes silverlight code atm), but is the base ce7 backwards comparable with ce5.2? obviously the ui will never work but if haret doesn't have to be 100% rewritten that should help a lot.
- So say we get all of those things working, the current support for the HD2 android port is enormous. and how much different will that be? obviously different hardware but all WP7 devices have the same processor/gpu and screen resolution as the HD2 so translating it would have a good head-start.

Obviously this is a far-fetched, dream at this point and major system hacking of WP7 has to happen before the conversation can really start but i really want to learn what you guys know. please leave any feedback about what you guys think.

1) This is the Android section...

2) Seriously doubtful our phones would ever run WP7 (which is CE6, no?) due to hardware limitations... We're having enough trouble running Android, which we have the code for...

3) I thought haret was for booting Linux kernels... could be wrong on that tho, haret is an amazing tool.

I could be wrong but I think what he may have been asking was if and when we all get wp7's, would we be able to dual boot android on our wp7. Like how we do on our tp2's. That would be definitely badass!

Hrm. Still in the wrong section, and probably considering all of the WP7 hardware is pretty similar to native Android hardware. Just going to be difficult with the lack of buttons...

sorry if i made this confusing (written at 5am lol) but i was inquiring about running hariet and Android on a ce7 WP7 device. Sorry if this is the wrong section, but wm6.5 isn't going to last forever, and WP7 has a lot of potential if M$ can get their act together, i am debating between WP7 and adroid for my next device (which many may be) and would like to have both :)

The WPChevron7 thing allowed running unsigned code natively. Haret will not run on WP7 unless it is re-written. Eventually, something like Haret could be written to perform the same functions for WP7 as we have for wm6, but the code base is different and requires a rewrite.
