So I have been searching and Android does have Whatsapp.

My question is, anyone have it working on their TP2?

Never even heard of it, but I did just download the APK from WhatsApp Messenger for Android

Have you tried putting it in your apps folder or pushing it to your device using ADB? I'll mess around with it and see if I can get it installed, but I'm on NAND at the moment, so it may act a little differently.

Reading the reviews on WhatsApp, I don't get it.

Why would you pay for something when PingChat is free & has a better interface?

Either way, I would not want my text messages going thru some weird third-party like that... Google Voice was a leap for me, there's no way I'd use this.

Sorry, PingChat may not be a good solution, looks like it doesn't use your phone # or others phone #'s.... Looks like you have to make your own handle that's specific to PingChat like AIM.
