voice to text not working
 

Just installed latest build.
Voice to text not working. Am I missing a setting somewhere???

microphone works for non-voice call usage?
i thought it was still a work-in-progress.

Yeah, still a work in progress the last time I checked.[-o< This is the deal breaker for me, because until Voice Actions can work for transcribing SMS, there is nothing that really draws me to Android on the TP2.

that is what stoping you from useing android? speech to text is IT? why not the fact that you can even do what we are able to do now with it. WOW ive heard some wild ones in here but this seems to take the cake! and how bout the fact that we are running it on a device that was never intended to have android!!!!!

you know what, call me crazy, but im pretty damn sure it used to work on the first build i installed on my tp2.

is it just me, or am i crazy??

actually it works for me when i have the audio sent to the headphones on the start up doing the voicemail trick... but when i put the regular start up to have audio come out speakers it no longer works.

i used the voicemail trick in winmo and downloaded vlingo from the android market and the voice to text works great for me.

Yes, you have to do this trick to get it working.

I think it may even work if you boot Android and then make a call, but I could be wrong.
