Taintdroid
Now that its been confirmed that all of these random apps we install are sending our private information to China, I hope the devs will implement Taintdroid when they open up the code.

Re: Taintdroid
sounds like a conspiracy, as that being said i really dont care if china gets my dirty text messages that i send to my girlfriend.

Re: Taintdroid
I can't say this concerns me all too much... ALL of our info is recorded somewhere... if it's not china then it's someone else.

Re: Taintdroid
I like the sound of taintdroid fwiw though, hope it works...

Re: Taintdroid
I already requested it once on XDA a while back, but it'd be really great if we could get support for Droidwall. It just requires another module to be compiled into the kernel is my understanding, and would let us block applications on a per application basis from sending data to the Internet.
That would take care of most of the privacy issues for me. |
Re: Taintdroid
you mean you guys never wondered why you get a zillion warnings when you install an app and grant it full access to everything in your device???
why are you suprised the info is being saved... its not like this is new.. read the T&S for any media player, especially WMP.. everything you play through it gets logged.. better watch what the title of your porn is LOL jk.. if its done electronically, theres a trace.. its almost impossible to float around completely undetected now-a-days... guess everyone shouldnt have been so gung-ho for the Patroit Act... this is what the government uses now a days to make carriers, handset, and PC manufacturers grant our wonderful government to what we do.. as long as your not doing anything Terrorist-Like or watching Kiddie Porn(you sick f*****), then who cares what they monitor.. Technically every phone call youve made for the last 20years has been monitored by computer and live operators at some point.. ever seen 'Enemy Of The State'?? its all true.. Carriers AND Manufactures have to include a certain software mod or install a chip that interacts with NSA security measures.. weve been being tracked and it will only get worse.. Android doing it is just someone new getting caught, thats all... but this has been going on longer than some of the users here have been alive.. sorry to feed the conspiracy, but its true.. if your worried about "paper-trails", a cell phone is DEFINITELY NOT the way to do things.. |
