mr2 update
 

I recently did the MR2 update and now I can not get any phone or data service through verizon. I formatted my SD card and did a new install of 9/26/10 blazn. Is this a know issue or any suggestions. I also removed my SIM card and checked force CDMA on start up.

As far as I can tell the MR2 update was successful. I can make calls, receive text and view the web.

Are you using MGJDroidUtil? Also, did you make sure there aren't two entries for the force cdma? There's two types of force cdma entires, some have htc.hw in front or something like that. Also, you can check your APN list although I haven't had to do that for a while.

Although no phone service would indicate an issue with the startup.txt in relation to the force cdma command.

Same problem with me. I downloaded Android to my phone two weeks ago and everything went smooth...everything worked fine. A week ago I got an error message everytime I tried to boot into Android. Today I formatted my memory card, downloaded the the newest android cab file and put it on my memory card. Long story short, Android boots up just fine, but I have no service at all.

I have used the MGutility and launched haret.exe from the sd card. Also when I power down from android I notice that the airplane mode is off. Before the MR2 update I would sometimes have to lauch the android app a couple of times before the airplane mode would be off.

I updated to MR2 a while back. Then got fed up and went to Mighty Rom.

No issues back then anyway.

it is a startup.txt issue. i had the same thing happen, i copied the startup in this post and it fixed the issue.

That worked. Thanks. Now can I use the MGJ utility and check the boxes or will that screw up the startup.txt.

Don't use it, not until we hear that it's been updated/fixed.
