flash 10.1

This may be a dumb question, Since we have 2.2 on our tp2. I can't seem to install flash 10.1. I downloaded a version that says it works on any 2.2
android device from XDA. When I try and install it, it gives me a installed error.
The file name is com.adobe.flashplayer-1.apk 4.25mb

Thanks for any help.

Verizon TP2 32GB Latest Build 8-30.

I think the processor has to support it and I'm not sure ours does.

Yeah, a lot of info on that link... If you do a search and it doesn't answer your question then it's not bad to ask the question

We are wanting to know why it's not possible to load Flash 10.1 since we are running Froyo. Is someone working on a fix for this?

the cortex A8 processor line and greater support flash 10.1... our device is an arm7 design, will not support flash 10.1 as you see it in the marketplace.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.7 (WindowsMobile; PPC; Opera Mobi/35267; U; en; Presto/2.1.1))

I added Froyo to my sister's Tilt2 and was able to get Flash 10 installed and it appeared to work also. I added the apk file to ANDBOOT\AndroidApps\Other before launching it for the first time. Once Android booted it automatically installed the Adobe Flash 10 apk file. I however have been unsuccessful with trying to install it on my VZW TP2 after already having Froyo loaded.

The Cortex A8 is based on the ARM7 architecture and A8 processor speeds vary from 600mhz to 1ghz. I am running the Froyo BLAZN build that has my ARM7 running at 700mhz. I don't think it's a processor limitation as much as the software searching for specific system descriptions before it will install? Can't the software just be tricked into seeing the same processor that's in the Droid?
