wifi error usually means modules arent loading.. so need to check on that.

when i use the modules from zip 7 ..wifi works fine..should i just put those modules in my andboot folder also?

Oh, I thought that the stuff for NAND should go in the andboot folder... perhaps they're interchangeable...?

Ah, I just noticed that I had left the modules- prefix off the modules tar. I updated the post with the prefix in case it matters. If you downloaded it already, just rename 2.6.27.46-01190-gdef4133.tar.gz to modules-2.6.27.46-01190-gdef4133.tar.gz

Also, for those without wireless, I am adding the WL1251 wifi modules right now. I didn't realize they did not get built with the rest of the modules. It seems they are built seperately from http://gitorious.org/linux-on-qualco...t-wireless-msm

I'll follow up with a reply when the new modules are up.

awesome!!!

Count me in for testing, just let me know what build you want me to test. And yes, I would have NAND flashed on my phone or else what good is the test if what they are testing is getting drivers loaded when booting from NAND?? :P If you open another thread let me know.

Damn, well, I've tried compiling direct like the main branch does, and that didn't work. I looked through Wozz's modules, and he doesn't have those wifi drivers explicitly in there either. Still trying to track down why Wozz's modules work and mine don't.

Edit: Also forgot to mention that the wifi drivers are actually already in the repository. I just thought maybe it needed to be directly built like they do for the main builds.

All I did was the following:

make clean
make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/home/nathan/toolchains/google/arm-eabi-4.4.0/bin/arm-eabi- modules
make ARCH=arm INSTALL_MOD_PATH=/linux-msm-rhod-nand
Then compress files without folder structure and append modules- to the file name.

Am I missing something? There were 0 errors during compile...

I'm heading home and I'll take another look at it. Just remember, ACL is the one doing all the work here. I'm just compiling it from ACL's repository :)

do you have a terminal emulator ? when you are in android dump the dmesg so you can see why wifi is faling. Does adb work? you should be able to get logs from adb as well.

the wifi driver is bcm4329.ko not whatever else you mentioned.
