Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
are you getting data?
do you have force cdma enabled in either the boot utility or startup txt? |
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
I have added:
htc_hw.force_cdma=1 to my startup.txt I have als tried the APN trick, but it wont let me save it cause its asking for me to put a 3 digit MCC number in. I cant find any specific settings for the APN for Sprint on the forums. What are you using? |
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
im on sprint, using the blazn build. i havent set any APN's and its been working fine for me.
it took me a few restarts / loading android before it picked up service for me. |
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
oh btw, did you take your sim card out?
|
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
Yeah Sim is out. Going to try the blzn build in a few and let you know how that goes.

Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
Try these APN settings. MMS works for sending, but not incoming.
Here are the settings for your Sprint: Go to Wireless & Network>Mobile Networks> Access Point Names (APN) select it or if is not there make a new one with these settings settings: APN Name: internet APN: Android Proxy:<Not set> Port:<Not set> Username:<Not set> Password:<Not set> Server:<Not set> MMSC:http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms?X-SPRINT-MDN=(10 didgit phone number) MMS proxy:<Not set> MMS Port: 80 MMC:310 MNC:995 Authentication Type:<Not set> APN type:<Not set> |

better yet try this startup.txt. thats what got it working for me. of course as you know you have to replace yours with this one.

Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
Demondlordoftheround,
those settings worked for me! Thanks! Undarated, Your startup.txt also worked, and even had the correct keyboard mapping! Thanks everyone for the suggestions and help, I have hit the "Thanks" button for each of you :) |
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
Make sure you picked the Sprint Touch Pro 2 in the list, I believe it is something 400....and force CDMA and Accelerated Graphics....

Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
I'm having an issue occasionally where 3G data/network connect stops working after awhile.
I am running the newest Blazin build - but not overclocked. I am on Sprint, SIM is removed and most of the time I have data, but occasionally it stops working and I have to reboot to get it working again. Any ideas of the cause and a solutions? Thanks! |

I think I'm in the same boat. Latest Blazin cab build. Choosing Force CDMA. No SIM card installed. I can make and receive calls but no data. (I tried the startup.txt in on the first page but that didn't help) |
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
Underated's advice worked for me x10guy
Settings>wireless & networks>Mobile networks> select data enabled. Give it a few seconds |

I waited like 20 minutes but still always get errors when I try any applications that require data (Maps, Opera, Market, etc). |

Im not really sure what is going on you're end. the only other suggestion i have is to wipe your sd and start over which seems really far fetched because if you are in android and networks are selected data should be working. one thing that i didn't think to ask is everything setup in winmo before booting up? I'm sorry bro but im all out of suggestions. maybe someone else can give a better suggestion. |
Re: Not getting any signal -- Sprint
No problem. Thanks for your help. Whenever I try a new Android I usually delete all of the previous files and start from scratch.
But I'm fine with Winmo for now. I can't image it being Winmo ROM related but data works fine. Is there possibly a setting I have to set in Winmo before I run Android? I've tried Android a few times on my TP2 before and data always worked. Now sound is working but data isn't. Oh well. I might try it again, when another version comes out. |
