Blazn build, questions!
 

hey guys

Been running Android as my main OS (2.2) for the past 2 days, so far no real complaints as it kills wmo in every aspect, even with no sound.

There are however a few quirks that are bugging me.

1) everytime android boots, its in landscape mode... not a big deal, but i always have to slide the phone out and close it before it will pop back into portrait

2) sometimes when i boot into android, i dont have service. i have checked forceCDMA before booting up, and i made sure that line was in the startup.txt file also... any reasons for this?

3) can i make it boot into android by default? and are there any restart apps for android? i couldnt seem to find any in the market

4) i dont have a nice clock / animated weather widget, is it because im running the BLAZN build and its been stripped?

5) can i sync it with facebook? i have syncd it with google contacts, but it doesnt seem to want to let me select facebook. i would like to have pictures of people instead of the little android lol.

1) Me too irritating but not a deal breaker :)

3) I think (not 100% positive) there is an app out there that asks you on boot which you want, if I find it I will post

4) There is a bunch of clock wigets out there, i found mine thru google search

5) nobody can it is on facebooks end I think

also, compared to my friends droid incredible, his widget tab has a get more widgets option... but mine doesnt, is it just the build? or was it stripped out in blazn?

ya the sync with facebook is prob on facebooks end just saw a post in another thread that said a lady was having issues with a evo

As far as syncing with facebook, if it just the pictures you want to get from there, check out this post from another thread.

Hey I know that guy! :P

1) It's always been on landscape for me, even in the days of good ol 1.6, eclair I think, I think because the sensor is still picking up the movements, Put your phone straight and it should, after a few seconds, automatically pick it up!

2) SIM Card? If so, remove it! Other than that, it should pick itself up within a minute or so, and data within 5, though it usually happens fairly quick for me!

3) Not in the market no, but over @ XDA they have made a dual boot! You'd have to search through forums for it, or just google it!

4) The animated weather clock is on Sense, and beautiful widgets, again you can google it! Also I think the paid version of LauncherPro has it, LauncherPro Plus

5) EDIT: Looks like Facebook finally fixed the problem, it syncs for me! But pics do not sync, just metadata, so SyncMyPix still seems viable for pictures, but idk it could be writing out the contact data right now as its not sleeping yet

1) during the boot screen, slide the keyboard out and back in and then it will load in portrait mode

2) usually just takes some time for me, but I'm on GSM so it might be different for you

3) Gen.Y DualBOOT

4) Don't know, don't use them

5) My facebook works...
