Why compile 2.6.27 kernels?
I dont know anything at all about these kernels but i've seen 2.6.29 and 2.6.32 kernels mentioned on xda and elsewhere.
Why do we need to compile the 2.6.27 kernels? just curious. |
Re: Why compile 2.6.27 kernels?
because it supports our hardware.
No one has ported over the tp2 on .29 http://www.gitorious.org/linux-on-qualcomm-s-msm :-) |
Re: Why compile 2.6.27 kernels?
do you think porting to .29 might fix other hardware functions like sound, bt, etc?
|
Re: Why compile 2.6.27 kernels?
Nope.. out .27 kernel isnt complete. Sound crap is missing as well as 3d stuff. That still needs to be written either for .27 or .29. So jumping to .29 or any other kernel wont help with sound.
