You have to setup your APN. Go to Settings-Wireless & Networks - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names. Click on your menu button and add a new APN. Name it Andriod and the APN is internet.com save and wait about 1 minute. Your 3g will pop up on the top.

Yeah... I agree , its simple but some Android Roms dont have the APN configurated, i uninstall the pro launcher version and install AOSP version and this version, have configurated the APN... i think this thread help some problems... by the way I prefer the AOSP version, its more stable for me...

I thought I was being clever by using the following for Verizon, which ALSO WORKS...go figure...:
APN: vzw.vzw3g.com
Username: Phone #
Password: #777
Authenication: "None"

I'm going to try the settings above next time, or maybe a random setting...

Thank you for the post.

Re: Help with data connection

I think it dont really matter as long as you put something. In the XDAndroid site it says to create a new APN and under name put "aaa" and under server put "internet.com". When I did it, I couldnt exit unless I named the APN field so I called it "data" and it worked for me.

so I used the following settings:

Name: aaa
APN: data
server: internet.com

Re: Help with data connection

FWIW, I used the following (it's humorous but I wanted to see if it worked LOL)

name: snarf
aaa: blah blah snarf snarf
server: (I typed the word "none") LMFAO..

it worked.. I don't think there's anything specific that needs to be there, it just needs to see something.. our data seems to auto-provision :)

HTH

How do I insert this stuff in the APN screen? It just comes up with a black blank screen?

Press the menu button , click New APN. The menu button is your Windows key on the Sprint TP2.

Thanks. I figured out I'm an idiot about 15 mins ago. I didn't even think to try that.

When I go to Wireless & Networks settings I can't get Airplane mode to shut off.
Everything was working fine until I installed Pandora raido?
Now I get no data at all...
Ideas?
