Verizon keyboard for Android?
How do I get the FN keys to work on my Verizon TP2 to work for Android? I can't use any special characters, I can't type smiley faces, etc... Is there a fix?
Also, on a side note, Windows Mobile uses .cab files. What does Android use? |
Re: Verizon keyboard for Android?

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1; en-us; XDANDROID Build/ERD72) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

Re: Verizon keyboard for Android?
just add physkeyboard=rhod500 if you have verizon to the startup.txt file (rhod400 if sprint...but i'm assuming if you're having trouble it's bc you might already be using sprint settings with verizon? unless you're not using any physkeyboard command already...)
add it as the last thing before the final " mark so you see something like Quote:

I've made these changes, and triple checked, and I still have the same problem.. it's definitely set for rhod500

Re: Verizon keyboard for Android?
Do an update before loading Android. I had the same problem (checked all the right phones), and the update fixed it. (Run the app, do Menu > update. Something like that). Update takes about 5-10min.
