Not really, the muffler I use is really loud so I wouldnt hear anyone anyways haha. But seriously, most riders wear earplugs and you cant hear anyone. I dont keep it that loud, just enough to entertain myself while riding... Plus ive been riding for 5 years now, and had no problems in the past with it. Just goign into curves to fast. Roadrash sux.

Sound is definitely important. You also forget the power issues, BT, and camera. All those seem important too...

I know if BT, camera and power wasn't working on Winmo there would be ALL sorts of complaining about how terrible it is...

Thats not always true..you don't need camera for every day use..for mogul for example the common practice was to make "High mem" and "Low mem" modes and one had no camera to give a lot of extra free ram..but you could swap "High mem" and "Low mem" via reseting the phone..so if we dealt with it back then it could deal with it after..except would be cool to test Google Goggles with it >.>

I think the external sound is a deal breaker for everyday use. This has been beaten to death...but without it, the phone really can't be a phone. Besides, the in call volume is still a bit low for my taste.

With the OFFICIAL announcement of the EVO 4G...I consider Android use as training at this point. If the speakers are enabled, I'll consider using it on weekends...since I need my phone to be fully functional during work hours!

I never said you couldn't use it with out it but I'm just saying that a phone without Bluetooth, camera and GPS is not going to please alot of people in the long run. Eventually you are going to want to use them, especially if you are used to using them in Winmo. Winmo may not be that exciting to use, but all those items work.

This Android project is DEFINITELY cool but there are about 4-5 issues that still need to be worked out until I see it as a legitimate alternative to Winmo.

If Sound gets fixed first there will be alot of people using Android alot more... but in a week or so of using it, they'll be back clamoring for the other items. It's just human nature. :)

well yeh but the 2 things that are 100% vital are sound and power..once those are fixed many will be able to use for every day use...the other features are nice to have but not vital..like GPS I only use like once a month and BT like 2 times a year...camera only on trips when I dont have camera with me. of course I don't speak for everyone but I think that covers most business users.

Agreed... sound and power are 2 biggies.
And of course I don't speak for everyone either, but without camera, GPS and Bluetooth I still will prefer to use Winmo. I'll will definitely play with Android more but I actually like those features in a phone.
In reality, I'm probably the only one who feels this way. :) Sounds like once sound and power is fixed, 99% of the people are switching over.

while your right about other things being just as important (BT,Camera,Power managment especially) i'd be set with sound for everyday use...i wouldnt have any problem booting back into WM to charge my phone if sound was working..id be really happy running droid with sound since its so awesome (also a reason im surprised they havent figured it out yet since SOOO many people have sound as a priority) lol
