Try deleting your data.img and updating the rootfs, modules, and zImage files to the latest versions... I just got the latest, and I was able to download Google Voice and other apps from the marketplace no problem.

Interestingly enough, I too tried this and was able to download/install Google Voice from the Marketplace. However after successfully downloading and installing that app, it totally broke thereafter and wouldn't download/installing anything more.

I wonder if not having my files in the root of my SD card is breaking the Marketplace, but it did properly download Google Voice and install it?
I've got my path set to rel_path=andboot.

update build-prop

I need to update my build-prop which lives inside the data.img file that resides on your sd card,
root>system>build-prop
i'm trying to download verizon nfl mobile from the marketplace but i can't because the line in the build-prop
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-tmobile
i think if i can get that file updated to read
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android-verizon

I should be able to dl the app from the marketplace. right now i don't see it, i can dl other apps just fine
I was able to get a copy of the app, but the videos neverwork, wonder if that is related to the
ro.com.google.clientidbase=android

tried using winimage to edit the img file but no dice

You really feel the need to post this twice?

There is a great article on Xda somewhere on how to unsquash the system.sqsh. Dont bother making changes on the data.img. Its just not the right approach. You can also see if you can make the changes on the rootfs.img. There is a directory in there init.etc that has a file called default.prop. You can try making your changes there. Hope that helps.

FYI, new kernel build from the 19th gets rid of the annoying 'low battery' message if you update the startup.txt with htc_battery_smem.fake=1 . Battery seems to always think it's charging, but at least I don't get the popups anymore. :)

Haha, Planetbeing is a Legend on the iPhone forums and Hackery. He has always been there from the begining. He and the Dev Team started the whole Jailbreak issue. I don't know if he likes WinMo enough to do some work for it. Maybe the right approach?
