Changing Wallpaper

So let's get this straight. I grew up on computers..rocking 3D glasses playing video games on an old gateway with windows 95 when i was in 2nd grade or whatever...and even back then I knew how to change the computer's wallpaper...it was not that hard to do.

now i know how to change the wallpaper on these android kernels....i just don't know how to change it to a wallpaper i want (i.e. i can't browse to a folder and pick an image as a wallpaper....i tried saving pics into the media/resources folder and even changing the file name...do they have to be png?)

I think you may have to move the picture you want to a certain folder. Seems on true Android systems, all the pics are one folder on the SD card , which the Moment comes with a 2 GB.

Once I boot back into Android, I will tinker with it..

I know on my wifes Moment I held down on the home screen, chose wallpaper or something another. Then chose Pictures. However, this is 1.5 on her Moment and the EVERY single pic on her device showed up.

I would need to check on the file format as well because all her pics are from her days on the LG Rumor 2. I wanna say its a jpg.

i think by default it's png....i converted all my images to the same size and file format and even renamed them to match the wallpapers in the resource folder and it still doesnt find them when i hold on the home page > wallpaper

EDIT: i'm super surprised no one really knows what to do....it seems like a pretty simple task with no simple explanation as to why it won't work. hasn't anyone wanted to change their wallpaper to something other than the stock ones/from apps?

Still Nothing? Is this something we maybe should add to the list of things that are still in development?

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0.3521/1076; U; en) Presto/2.4.15)

Same problem here. I ended up downloading an app called wallpaper choser. Lets you browse files on your sd card.

No kidding. It's very annoying to change it just to mess around and not be able to get rid of it!
