Gen.Y DualBOOT 1.0.5 WM/Android dual boot

Just thought I would post this for anyone who has not seen it yet.. This works very well.. I am using this to dual boot between EnergyROMs latest and Android on my 16gb microsd card..

Here is the link for the dual boot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623792

And here is the thread of the most recent working Android:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=109147

Still has some bugs but it has come a long way.. I think it is fantastic that they have gotten it to work this far.. It works great so far and they are hard at work to get more things working..

I have only tested it on the TP2 for Sprint. At the moment, CDMA data does not work so I have not tried the navigation yet. 95-Civic is in the process of getting the data to work so hopefully soon we can find out.

I believing hold the power button gives you a option power off etc. After powering off just hit power button again and it'll put you right back at the GenY.DualBoot screen...

Its the only work around unless there is a android app for softreset.

Re: Gen.Y DualBOOT 1.0.5 WM/Android dual boot

Got geny dualboot latest ver. and have been working on reg.edit I have tried every comination from 3 different forums now and the discription is very vague and some even have misspelled word like \storageecard\andbot\ and stuff like this. I am not picking on anyone I am not the best speller myself but if I am doing a tutorial I will double and tripple check my spelling LOL... I would like to have the option to do the Dual boot is there a known way tried, tested, and proven?

install your android stuff to your SD Card.. either via Haret or the Cab method... Install Gen Y Dual Boot to your Device... run and done...

pretty simple

Re: Gen.Y DualBOOT 1.0.5 WM/Android dual boot

Just to add to what bored said, I you install DualBoot make sure you go into the registry for it and tell it to look in the right folder for haret. Example mine is is andboot folder on my sd card so it would look like this /andboot/

If not it will just tell you android is missing.

Re: Gen.Y DualBOOT 1.0.5 WM/Android dual boot

I have installed dual boot to card root, Card andboot, Phone main memory, I installed 2.2 Ver. of Android and can boot it from within windows it put a quick launch wigget on my phone on windows side I guess I will have to just deal with that. I see lots of help saying to make sure it is pointing to the correct file or string... What were and how do I do this? I have tried to rename files in andboot and in EUHK and still says no Android.
