NICE!!! I'll see if I can dissect his BLAZN system.ext2 image to fix the wifi. For me, it feels like FRX04, not faster (slightly if any). Wifi is important because, as arrrghhh stated, it eats up less battery than 3G. So when I'm at home, it's nice to just use wifi. I'm using Froyo X Red now and it's fast.

arrrghhh, thanks for the new kernel; I didn't have any issues with the 2/26 version but I'll try the new kernel when you put it up. I guess it can only get better

Thanks. Gonna try it. On 2/26 kernel, I'm getting more restarts to WinMo using Tiad8's Froyo X Red after it goes to sleep, but that may just be my setup or his distribution itself and not necessarily the 2/26 kernel; since there were no kernel logging in 2/26, I couldn't figure out what was wrong or post any log here.

2/26 and the previous kernel were just fine for me.. on 2/28 kernel I'm getting a lot of flickering and screen tearing. First boot I got booted back to Windows from Haret. Also, the battery seems worse, took off thed charger at 6:30am and its battery is 70% at 7:19am. I haven't used it all. Maybe my charger disconnected during the night *shrugs* dunno but I swear it was fully charged in WinMo. Ill still test it out tho.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/27/11 New Kernel - Fast/Fixed Panel!

Arrrghhh is on vacation posting these so I suppose we should forgive him for the lack of information on this particular kernel. WisTilt2 is playing with the framebuffer (I only say playing because I am too dumb to really know what he is doing) and it has made his phone (Tilt2-Rhod300) a lot faster and wake is perfect, arrrghhh and I discovered in testing that our phone (the 400, TP2) has some graphical glitching in various places. It is a known issue and WisTilt2 is looking into it, for the time being though he wanted to make sure the things he has done to the framebuffer are making an impact in sleep/wake, potentially SOD, and hopefully some speed benefits as well.

TL;DR: Ignore the gfx glitches for now, does it boot, sleep, and wake properly?

I thought it was my set up, but I, too, am getting flickering almost everytime I press on a soft button; this is with the 2/27 kernel.

Also, I'm not sure if it was related to the 2/26 kernel but I had a lot of restarts to winmo on that one after a wake (from not touching the phone after a long time). I'm going back to the 2/24 kernel and try it out again.

My phone died overnight even with a full charge just before bed, woke up to it dead (airaves off so maybe s real bad signal) either way, plugged it in to charge it in winmo, so the updated kernel, tossed it on there before bootings android and all was well, until I noticed a ton of screen tearing, flickering, etc. So I rebooted at that point and all hell has broke loose since then. Can't reboot, keeps deleting my startup.txt, then the modules get deleted, so I tried going back to 022611 test kernel, deleted data.img, everything I could think of but it keeps rebooting back to winmo. Now that I'm home I'm reformatting the card and will reload up FRX04 on it, first with stock kernel and then switch back over to 022711 test kernel. Could the phone dying in the middle of the night running android cause so many issues or cause the card to get all borked up? I noticed some FAT errors while trying to reboot, don't recall what they were but never noticed them before and the booting looked strange too. Just didn't know if the batt dying like that could cause problems with the card because it's happened before (dying during the night) and I wonder if that's the cause of many of my issues.

I agree, 10 second keyboard backlight timeout is nice.

Yep. I haven't had any problems booting. Sleeping is quick.. seems more efficent too. While refreshing twitter I locked my screen, led kept blinking, after about 10 seconds I checked my twitter and it was still pulling data, locked the phone, led blinked for a few seconds then went to a solid green, checked twitter app and it had finished . in and waking seems to be fine..

Has the logs file changed.. they're not gzipped and are only 303 Bytes. I had a restart to WinMo..

Here's the log:
