After talking with WisTilt2 about it tonight, I'm curious if anyone finds any correlation between the slow-to-sleep (~30 seconds of blinking green after screen off) condition OR SoD conditions to reduced battery.
IE. Does the SoD happen more frequently when you're running out of juice?
Does the slow-to-sleep condition occur more once you're out of the 80%-90% range?

I think you may be on to something there. The only SODs I can recall in the last few kernels occurred at around 20% battery. I'll keep an eye on failed wakes.

New kernel seems to be better as far as SODs go, will report back tomorrow after heavier use as I mostly checked tapatalk here and there today, not much more.

full screen, hangup (go to sleep), slide to black screen even before a green light flashes, power----straight to lock screen............10x in a row. No issues. full wake up on every power and unlock

did it again and waited until the first green flash----no issues. plugged into usb....trying on batti


same results----wake up instantly. on the 3/11 kernel ... no issues here.

You've got a solid build there ;) Mine is working well now. I reduced my OC speed down to 614Mhz (614400). Been watching SlingBox over 3G data at work for the last 90 minutes; video is not as smooth at 614mhz but good enough; was watching the last quarter of the Lakers vs Magic game. :mrgreen: Go Lakers!

@ ndno---drop a new version that you compiled (from your 3/1) with the new kernel and image---same startup with oc no more than 710. I am having absolutely NO issues with the new kernel or with your scrips...I cannot reproduce any errors/SOD/lags. completely smooth sailing with me. I have tried to get a glitch and cannot-------------------unless I get below 35 free mem...then things get squirly. easy fix---quickboost...or auto kill by cycling sleep mode. I think this is a memory issue, not a kernel issue. check your base rom. get at least 105 free at winmo boot....leaving 85 free on android. Which is a bit of breathing room, but as a reference, my wifes EVO has 350 free after boot

Yes, that anomaly does not happen because of SlideIt - I can confidently say that as I experience this issue and it's maddening.

Not quite as maddening as the repeat letter bug, but hey.

Worst part is, I have no clue what's causing it, or how to track it down... I guess I'll just have to pull logs a ton of times after it happens.

What I have noticed is that the "dead kbd" bug seems to be solved by closing the kbd and reopening - but the repeat letter bug doesn't always get resolved by closing the kbd I noticed... Odd.

tell me exactly how to reproduce these bugs----I can't do it??????????


I know it's not always the "right" time for it---but click on the microphone on the keyboard----it will compose virtually any message with voice (standard google keyboard) any other time---standard software or hardware KB work fine---getting used to voice to text, especially with google

If it was reproducible consistently, it's usually a lot easier to fix - at least it can be narrowed down.

The keyboard bugs, are random - and I have not found a consistent way to reproduce them other than just type lots of things. I use GV a lot, I wonder if that's a catalyst?

I noticed the other day that the backspace key usually doesn't like to behave when held down - IE it goes crazy if you hold it down, and doesn't stop if you lift your finger.

I cannot reproduce that bug in the Calendar app when adding events. Fancy that, not sure how it will help us resolve the bug but hey!

Just saw your post about voice text - use it ALL the damned time, whenever I can really. I'm addicted to it!
