this is just dev only and should be treated as so. Or else this thread will get flooded with noob questions and will kill our progress. We should make like a written test to see if they can dump crap from haret before they use :-p

Haha, that would be awesome. Question 1, you need to find the GPIO for the power button, which command do you use?

For a package, I just meant that I would make one ZIP that contains all of the files as a starting point, then everyone can update manually from there. If they can't figure that part out, it's really a lost cause.

Awww come on ... you don't want people to randomly scour the thread for files when they are all listed in order what you need? :-D

I can't say I wasn't flamed before when I thought I bricked my phone from a dead battery. But I learned quite a bit so far. Still plenty more to know.

so you've done this is what you're saying? any words of WISDOM?

Leave it off and let it charge a good 30 mins or more before powering on.

Since you are getting a boot loop, you might want to run a Task 29 on it to wipe the flash . After flash the nbh again. I've had it happen once. If you go from WinMo to NAND it doesn't wipe everything so it's better to do that first.

Other than that, make sure you got your files on the sd card right. :D

If it still fail booting, delete the data.img file on SD card in the /andboot/ folder

If you are getting a Waiting for SD card message or never loads past that you might have to format the SD card and reload it.

nah, you don't understand, this is why you think im being stupid (i think haha)
it cant charge for extended time, when the charge reaches enough to boot, it friggin auto boots. neither wall, linux, nor windows keeps it charge while in "linux", so it dies. this is the continuous circle. also, random vibrations without anything showing on screen.... so i'm pretty sure i'm waiting long enough, trying not to be too ADD, haha, but its f'in tripped out problem here

I've haven't had it where it would boot once it is up to charge. But it is possible.

I would turn it back off by holding the power button or pulling the battery and then charge it.

Otherwise I would Press Vol Down and Power to get to the bootloader (same as you would for flashing) and time how long it stays up. If it dies doing that I might say you have a battery or other hardware issue.

Now it does when charging when off for me vibrate twice like it is about to boot. It never does though which I believe is normal. Usually I have to pull the power cord and battery and putting the battery back in to boot if I charge while off.

You run Task 29 on your pc just as you would any other flash utility.

Are you charging with a wall charger?

I guess I'm still confused. If the phone is completely off and you start charging it... it shouldn't "autoboot" or turn itself on...
