Thanks for the heads up. I'm heading out right now, but I'll play with this when I get back. For replimenu, I completely removed it from my script and added a section that checks for the androidupdate.tgz, applies if found, and renames it to androidupdate-disabled.tgz. It's a pretty simple chunk of script, but I can upload when I get back if you want ;)

That way does work... But if you are lazy like me you don't want to remove the sdcard all the time and rename the file.

Attached is my replimenu. I could not get the renaming and executing of the install-seq.sh on the sdcard working... Maybe you guys will see what I'm doing wrong.

Also I found by holding the center of the screen instead of the Vol up button it will also bring you to the replimenu. :) Makes it a bit easier and cleaner. ;)

Ohh snap really ? 10 times easier just holing the screen.

I was thinking we can keep the existing check for install-seq but also have a copy inside for default installations. But if a cooker wants a custom rom, then by all means make ur own install seq :-)

Also i'm a little confused about the MAKEDEVS you mentioned. Is it erroring out or was i really sleepy that i made a typo?

Yeah, the init.android I grabbed was the one from the eclair-rootfs which was what we used for Froyo. The Gingerbread git is different :)

As for the directories, I tried making the cache folder then mounting it during the flashall part, but I couldn't get it to work. I'll check out the commit tomorrow so I can see what I missed :P

forgot about the android.init. So what was the final status? remove that line from rc ? if you already tested then lets get that finalized.

remount as rw on system and do a chmod 4755 pppd

should fire right up.

jebus found another bug. This is annoying..

so the ip-up and ip-down scripts are not executing. So lets say you kill the pppd service. Next time you come up the old ip will be used instead of the new one. grrrr..

edit: fixed.. latest installgz will have the correction.

With the latest nbh that is posted together with the androidupdate.tgz files fails to install the update and it keeps saying theres a 120 second timeout is it because it's trying to write to early in the NAND but u guys r running the new version which starts later eg sometime after block 18000 and if yes I'm assuming ur not releasing that nbh anytime soon although all we would need to do after that is install a tgz update either tia

Yeah, we are still working on ironing things out. I will try to post a working NBH with everything for you later today. Just going to be tied up for the next 12 hours or so...
