Factory Reset
cant get my tab to reset
tried like 11 times the reason i did is cuz i couldn't get apps the uninstall let me say that a different way i can get them to uninstall but when i restart their still there |
Re: Factory Reset
Try this:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power. 2. Release the Power button when you see the Samsung logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears. 3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection. 4. Press Volume Up continue. |
Re: Factory Reset

Re: Factory Reset

Thanks for the update, I'll try it on mine tonight when I get home from work and report back as well.

I tried mine and it works. I'm z4 rooted. Got to recovery and it allowed me to factory reset. |
Re: Factory Reset

Yup, just finished restoring everything. It had nothing on it though when it restarted. Out of curiosity, did you unroot and try it? I didn't try that. |
Re: Factory Reset
no i didnt unroot cuz the defeats the purpose of hard reset
|
Re: Factory Reset
I will admit that, while I had the best of intentions, I forgot to try this when I got home last night. I'll try it tonight.

Re: Factory Reset
Okay so I just picked one up rooted and I am going to get rid of the stuff that you cant while not rooted. When I do that and decide to do a factory reset will I lose root and will I get everything back that I deleted? Not sure if you can do nand back up's yet as I read that on the how to root thread.. Thanx

I can still do a hard reset when rooted. No problem at all. Rooted with superoneclick v1.7. Tried many times without fail. Even wipe cache partition. :)
