[HOW TO] Bypass the Samsung Galaxy Activation Screen
 

Why would you do this? To be able to use it for wifi only :D

1. Press “Volume Up” once.
2. Press “Volume Down” twice.
3. Press “Volume Up” three times.
4. Press “Volume Down” four times.

Is it just for the tab or can this be done with samsung epic also?

I'm sure it's only for this one. Most devices have their own way and none are the same that I have seen ;)

this method doesn't work for sprint. anyone found a workaround for sprint yet?

lol I just hit cancel and it works on wifi?

Then I rooted it and deleted the sprint crap from /system/apps

seems to work great now. :)

I still want to know how to get google voice to work calling out though. :(

Is there any way to activate the cell radio in this thing on sprint without a 30/plan? like just regular 2g data stuff?

Found this in another forum:
*You need to be ROOTED before doing this.

1) I used Root explorer and went to:
/system/app/

2) put the folder in R/W mode (look at top for button)

3) now look for -
sprintadroidextension.apk

4) long hold press it, either copy it and paste it in another folder as backup.

5) go back to /system/app/ and long hold press sprintadroidextension.apk
again and Delete it.

6) put the folder back in R/O mode.

Now restart and you should not see anymore activation messages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

how did you root the galaxy tab for sprint. I used the the z4mod 1.10 and 1.13 and it just either says attempting to apply root and then just sits there and for the last half an hour??? what did you use to root since the z4mod thing does not work.
